Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation

Estee Lauder Doublewear foundation review

Hey everyone! I'm trying to remain a good blogger and get at least one post up per week, so today I thought I would talk about my most loved foundation.. Estee Lauder Double Wear

So I first got my hand on this glass bottle of awesomeness way back in the beginning of the year and at first I didn't really use it and it took until the second half of this year for me to properly fall in love with it, especially on days (and nights out) where I need coverage.

Before and After Estee Lauder

So I have found this foundation to have great coverage as I hope you can tell from the picture above. It really gives me a flawless dewy finish and I just personally love it. As for texture wise it is heavier on the skin compared to other foundations, but not too heavy/cakey if that makes sense. Estee Lauder also has a lightweight version of this foundation which may be suitable if you want a lighter foundation (which I definitely want to try when this runs out).

As for lasting ability when I use this foundation I find that it lasts all day and one of the claims of this foundations is that it lasts for 15 hours which I don't know as I have never personally tested that claim. Another thing is I find this foundation (30ml) to not be running love even though I have pretty much used this everyday for a few months and I don't think this will run out for awhile. I find a little blob can go along way. Another great thing about this foundation is that it has SPF 10 so provides you with some sun block.

The two downfalls of this product is that this foundation has no pump so you may pour out too much foundation out. However I have read that you can buy a pump to fit this foundation. Secondly the price which is around the £30 mark meaning it's not the cheapest but it's one that's worth investing it.

So what do you think? What's your favourite foundation?

see you soon, han xo

  1. Amazing coverage but still it doesn't look cakey. Nice review.

  2. I really want to try this foundation as I've heard loads of good things about it, I'm just such a hardcore drugstore lover I don't quite have the courage to spend loads of money on a foundation! It sounds like it could be the high end version of Revlon Colorstay, which is super long lasting and has good coverage, but has the downfall of the lack of pump too! I dunno why cosmetic companies don't put them in as it is a waste of product sometimes!

    1. EsteƩ Lauder do quite generous sample pots that I highly recommend asking for before you buy it. I got almost two weeks out of my sample and I loved it so much I bought the fill size!

  3. It works really well on you, there's a big difference between before and after. I love Estee Lauder foundations, I've got one different with a Spf 25+ protection. It doesn't cover so much as
    this one :)

  4. This is my HG foundation and I LOVE it, my only downside is that the palest shade (Shell) is a bit too dark for me but I just use a white powder on top and it's fine! Love the before and after photos on you too!

  5. I just started wearing this foundation back in June and I love it! Its probably the best foundation I've used! I have worn it all day long then gone to the gym with my brother (who kicks my butt) and it still looked good when I finished. I definitely lasts a long time!

  6. wow looks great that foundation
    i like it

  7. Great review.. I am just curious does it clog the pores as i have a problem of breaking out after using heavy foundations :/
