sunday story - moving house

How moving house helped me in the long run...

When I was in Year 7, I was told that we would be moving up north from my hometown Norwich. This terrified me.. I was scared I wasn't going to make friends. I really didn't want my life to change.

So to begin with I found out that my dad wanted to move us up north due to his working condition and at the age of like 12 I wasn't really taking it all in.. I think I just pretended it wasn't going to happen. We went up north a couple of times and looked at a variety of houses and then my parents finally made the decision and bought one.

schools... My mum made me look around some schools. The first school I looked at I knew I wouldn't go there. It was trashy and I can remember this thought really clearly... what if I slip on rubbish down the stairs when there is a fire alarm and hurt myself. I honestly don't know why I thought this maybe because my parents are in health and safety.. who knows. So I told my mum no, I'm not off there its not happening. Then I visited a second and loved it! It was right for me, it was small, tidy and staff were friendly and organised. My mum asked me if i wanted to visit anymore and I was like no i'm going there. But at this point it still hadn't hit me that it was for real.

Primark Perfume - He Loves Me

I bought this beauty way back in october I think now and i'm gonna say it I am a fan! I love perfumes.   Honestly, perfume bottles are so pretty in my eyes. I like to collect. So when I heard about primark stocking them I had to check it out and for £6 it was a true bargain!

Obviously the perfume bottle isn't the most expensive fancy packaging ever but I am really happy with it. I think its so super cute and I'm in love with the daisy packaging detail (this may be because I love daises though).  I'm also a fan of the name of it... again I thinks it's super cute. Thumbs up for primark!

The scent is lovely I personally think! Again i'm really happy with it. It's a light floral scent. I love to wear it during the day and keep it in my handbag as it's not too big but maybe I should really pick up the rollerball instead. I am a definite fan!

The only downfall about this product in my eyes is that it doesn't last very long on the skin (it might just be on me and that I don't notice it as much). However saying that I really don't mind due to the price I paid.  Oh and maybe the fact I can't see how much is left but thats nothing major.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone! Actually I now really want to go to Primark and buy some more I want to hunt down the black version of this so bad. Let me know your thoughts

see you soon, han x

A few things from Debenhams

I'm late on the bandwagon with these products I know but I just wanted to share with you guys that I finally have them. The other day I went into one of my local Debenhams stores and I was shocked to see Urban Decay. I couldn't control my excitement that there was finally something other than the normal estee lauder, benefit etc around my area, so I gave in and bought a product.

Chocolate Orange and Malteser Christmas Pudding

Hey guys, so today I wanted to share with you one of my Christmas baking ideas. This is so quick &
easy and makes a great gift.

What you will need:

1, Terry's chocolate orange
2, Maltesers
3, Milk Chocolate
4, White Chocolate
5, something which resembles the leaves  and berries for the top. I used two green jelly frogs and Haribo Tangfastics cherry's for the berries.

1, Melt the Milk chocolate, I did this by putting hot water into a pan, then placing a bowl on top with the chocolate in the bowl.

2, leave the chocolate to harden slightly so its not too runny, then dip half the malteaser in the chocolate and stick it on the chocolate orange keep doing this until it is fully covered. The trick I used was start it on the slant, then when you have done one side, leave them for a bit to stick into place then turn it over and do the other side, this is because it does take a bit of time for the malteaster to become fully stuck onto the chocolate orange.

3, Place  them into the fridge too harden. only for about 5-10 minutes.

4, Melt the white chocolate ( the same method as the milk chocolate) once melted leave it for about 5 minutes.

5,  Spoon a big drop of chocolate and put it on top of the  chocolate orange,( it doesn't matter if it is messy it is meant to look like that ;))

6, find a cute box to put them in, and that's it! such a cute idea, with such little effort ha ha

I hope you enjoyed today's post, please let me know any of your Christmas baking ideas I would love to hear them,

See you soon, Em x

Maybelline Color Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil: Nude Perfection & Berry Much

Maybelline color drama intense velvet lip pencils/crayons are becoming a new favourite of mine (more so nude perfection). I got both of these recently in my christmas advent calendar my mum made me and I'm super happy I have them. They are a nice creamy/velvety texture crayon that you can apply to your lips just like a lip pencil/lipstick. They have a slight scent which I definitely don't mind I quite like it actually however I don't know how I would describe it... it's not too strong/overbearing. They have great colour pay off! And they are currently £4.99 in both Boots and Superdrug (buy here).

I first got nude perfection in my advent calendar and I have been completely obsessed with it ever since (from the 5th of December). I pretty much wear this nude everyday.. it's perfect! It's more of a browny toned nude which I don't really own anything similar to this so it definitely adds to my collection. I can tell I will be buying this again when it sadly runs out. If you want to see what this shade is like on you can view me wearing it over on our Instagram here

The second I got is berry much which is deep red with a hint of purple I would say. If you can tell from the picture it is slightly damaged as I literally dropped it just before taking the photo... very annoying. Although I love the texture of these lip pencils I don't know if I will be wearing this one often. I'm unsure whether I like the colour on me (swatch here) and I found that it smudged easily and went a bit everywhere during application. However I may learn to love this one as much as I do nude perfection.

Overall I am very happy about these and would definitely recommend them to people and will probably in the future pick up some more. I really want to try minimalist. Let me know what you guys think....

see you soon, han x

Pearl Drops: Ultimate Whitening Toothpaste

pearl drops: ultimate whitening toothpaste @

pearl drops: ultimate whitening toothpaste @

The other day I was browsing Superdrug and I saw this toothpaste on offer from £3.99 to £1.98 so I thought I would give it a go (available here). I have decided to make it my mission to get whiter teeth as part of my new years resolution (although it's a few weeks early). So this starts the mission off nicely.

Pearls Drops ultimate whitening tooth polish claims in 3 weeks you can get up to 4 shades whiter teeth. So I am going to put this to the test.. starting from today! And in 3 weeks time I will share with you guys my thoughts on this product.

Let me know in the comments below any products that you recommend I try that will help me get whiter teeth! (or on twitter @emilyhan1394). I would really like to try some out.

see you soon, han x

(oh I also apologise for the state of the packaging in the first photo as it had been in my bag all day and got a bit crumpled.. oops)

Brows Brows Brows! Favourite Eyebrow Products

Eyebrow products are a huge beauty must have right now, And I am a massive fan! Filling in eyebrows are my most favourite make-up feature, it really transforms your face! so I am going to share with you my favourite Eyebrow products.

First up is the Benefit Brow Zing, this was my first brow purchase, I went into Debenhams looking for a foundation funnily enough, however the assistant ended up giving me a makeover and used the brow zing, I have been hooked ever since! it is a really great product,  it is a bit pricey at £24.50 but it is soo worth it if you can afford it!. They come in different shades dependent on your hair type.
Check it out, here

Also if you are looking to get your eyebrows tinted, and shaped I recommend Arc Angelz in Debenhams, I go for the high impact brow and I love it, it lasts for ages and really defines the brow.

If you don't want to spend as much as the benefit one, my second product is the Barry M brow palette.

As you can see this is very similar to Benefit, and it is also provides the same quality. I was having a skint time and needed a replacement brow kit to  the benefit one so I tried this one, and i am still currently using it! it lasts ages and works just as well. I definitely recommend you try this product it also comes with a bonus feature of a highlighter ;)
This one is a lot cheaper, it is just £5.99, check it out here

And finally this is most recent purchase, The Rimmel Brow this way stay styling gel

I saw lots of reviews on the benefit gel brow, but because I have never tried a gel before I wanted to try a cheaper version before I commited to the more expensive brand. I am loving it! I wear this as well as the Barry M brow palette, to define my brows more, however this is perfectly suitable to wear alone. I just wanted a gel to keep my eyebrows in place, then use my palette to fill in more.
this is a lot more cheaper as it is only, £3.99 check it out here

I hope all your brow lovers found this useful! please share any tips or ticks I would love to here them. Also if anyone has tried the Benefit Brow Gel I would love to know what you think!

See you soon, Em x

MUA Lipsticks: Lilac Belle, Pouty Pink & Tulip

who doesn't love a £1 lipstick??
A few weeks ago now I bought these 3 lipsticks from MUA including 2 matte shades from Superdrug.  They are £1 each if you hadn't of guessed and I got them on 3 for 2. I had been wanting to get a lilac shade so I couldn't resist picking up two more when I was in store.

Zoella Mist Spray Review

Zoella Mist Spray Review

I just want to start off by saying how much I love this product. It smells amazing and I do recommend trying it.

  • It smells amazing! it is such a refreshing smell, also it is very strong but I do like strong smelling perfumes as I think they last longer.
  • The bottle is sooo pretty! I love all of her products they are so cute, its the main reason I bought it.
  • It is affordable, I got this one from superdrug for £8.00, you can get it here
  • It is just overall a really nice product, I would say its perfect for a daytime wear.

  • There isn't many cons for this product, the only thing I would say is I dont think the smells lasts that long, I could be wrong because sometimes you get used to the smell so you dont realise you that do actually still smell nice haha! but that is just my opinion.
I would love to hear what you think of the whole zoella range? I know Han tried the Fizz bar and wasn't too impressed. I would say the opposite I do like her Fizz bar but I do add my own bubble bath to make it bubble. I do also have her make-up bag with her eyes on the front which I am also loving, I think her range is super cute, and and worth the money.

DIY Christmas Crackers

Last night me and my sister made all my family members their own christmas crackers with their own personalised gift. So today I thought I would share with you this simple do it yourself craft which doesn't take too long at all.

what you will need:
cracker snap
decorations (Glitter, etc)
empty toilet roll x 3 per cracker
pencil & ruler

what to do:
1. Once you've decided what paper you want to use cut yourself a square which is 30cm by 20cm.
2.  Once you done this measure 10cm from both sides and draw a line going down so that you can place the cracker snap in the middle. Once you've done this you can then tape your cracker snap in place.
3. Place your 3 toilet rolls onto the wrapping paper. Make sure you place any items (the above contains a lipstick) going into the cracker into the middle toilet roll. Then roll the wrapping paper around them.
4. Once you've rolled the wrapping paper, gently move the outside toilet rolls out, so there is a small gap. Then twist the end and push it in. Then tie a piece of ribbon so that it will hold it's shape and repeat for the other side.
5. Remove the outer toilet rolls completely and then decorate as you wish.
Here's the video if my explanation is too confusing.

Hope you liked this post. Let me know if you tried this...

Lush Sweetie Pie Review

Lush Sweetie Pie

First off I would like to apologise for the state of the packaging. It's beginning to wear as it's kept in my shower and water has got to it. Now back to the point.. every time I use this product I always think  i'm going to review this, so today is the day!

What is Sweetie Pie?
Sweetie Pie is one of Lush's shower jellies (body wash in a jelly form). Lush say that 'if a bar of soap and a bottle of shower gel had a steamy affair, this would be the resulting jelly, baby'. Which I agree with completely. This particular shower jelly has scents including cherries, bergamot, blackcurrant, coconut along with carrageenan extracts and a bit of sparkle. You can find out more about the ingredients and what they do on the Lush website (link below). Anyway now you know what it is onto my opinions....

  • The scent is amazing in my personal opinion. I love that once I get out the shower I smell of blackcurrants although I wouldn't normally go for this scent (it came in a lush gift set I got for my birthday as to the reason I own this hehe).
  • The packaging is good enough for me. It's nice and simple has the ingredients, when to use by, how to use etc which is always handy!
  • It can be used for your hair and scalp as well due to the seaweed gel this is according to the tip but I have never tried it myself. Please let me know if I'm interpreting the tip correctly and it definitely is this you can use for your hair not another product. I can't imagine using it on my hair but I would give it a go!
  • Easy to get your hands on. You can either pick it up this product from Lush stores or online for £6.95

  • I'm not much of a fan of the price. I think £6.95 if a bit over the top for some body wash but that may be because I like a good offer on products I buy. It's good to get in their gift sets though which I am a massive fan of.
  • Now my main bug with this product is that it's so slippery! (I find). I'll be using it fine and then it just slips out of my hand and once this happens it's bound to do it at least 2 more times after but this is easy to get over.

Overall, I personally wouldn't buy it again as I would rather by their shower gels (especially their snow fairy christmas edition) as they are easier to use. But other than that and the price there's nothing else I can find wrong with it. If you are interested in trying out this product then click here for more info. As always guys let me know your thoughts or what else I should try from lush either in the comments or @emilyhan194

see you soon, han x

Ciate Advent Calander

Ciate Advent Calendar

Christmas is here yey!!!

Christmas is my favourite time of year, I always get extremely excited when the 1st December comes along. Firstly because of advent calenders! they are just so much fun, whether its just chocolate or beauty ones, it is a great way of counting down the days. Secondly it means that Christmas is officially here, the tree goes up, decorations are out and everywhere is just so pretty and cute, I love it!..

Anyway this advent calender was a gift from my boyfriend ( I was so excited when he gave me it!) I am obsessed with nail varnish, no matter where I go I always seem to come back with a new nail varnish so now I get to have one every day of this month( Excited face)!

I have opened three up to now and I love all of the colours, you also get a full sized one on the 24th December.
Ciate are a good nail varnish brand and they do have really pretty colours, I am currently wearing the snow globe colour (number one of the advent calender) I like how sparkly it is. It would compliment any top coat colour if you would prefer to do that way.
This would make a great gift for next year for all the extra early organised Christmas shoppers ha-ha

I do really like this advent calender and I am enjoying counting down the days with it. It is my favourite one to date and I would definitely recommend!

Let me know if anyone has any beauty advent calenders,I would love to hear what you think

see you soon, Em x

november favourites - han edition

Welcome to my november favourites. I thought I would share we you 8 products that I have been loving throughout november.

This is a shower jelly from Lush. Now this is a controversial product for me to include as I do love it but I do have a slight issue with it. I love the scent and that is the main reason it's included in my favourites plus I have been using it every shower of november. I think theres going to be a review of this soon, so once it's up I will link it up.

2.  Primark Scarf
Oh my god I love this so much... It's so warm. It's like a blanket and it was only £6. I have seen a range of these in various Primarks and I am definitely tempted to buy another. Oh and did I mention it's reversible with a black and white print the other side making it easier for me to coordinate with my outfits.

3. Primark Perfume - He loves Me
Ok I picked this up because I love to have a selection of perfumes on my side as I think perfume bottles are so pretty. So when I saw this for £6 I was like I need to have. I love the scent and the packaging and again I sense another review going up soon maybe.

4. MAC Lipstick - Cyber
I've been loving lipstick in general in november as I gained like I would say at least 5 new ones maybe more. But my particular fav for this month has been Cyber (purple shade). I like to wear it very muted down but still enough to give me that purple lip. It's been great for the autumn/wintery vibe.

5. Savlon
Now this may be a weird fav of mine but honestly it's been helping my skin so much a long with drinking more water. I like to put this on my spots before I go to bed and when I wake up I tend to notice a difference whether it be in size of spot or redness.

6. Seventeen CC Cream
I have been adoring wearing this. I tend to use this CC cream rather than foundation along with a powder on top if I'm going out all day. I definitely think this will remain in my favourites for quite awhile until I find something to replace it. The main reason i'm a massive fan it that it does have a great coverage which I personally want in products.

7. Rimmel London Lip Liner - Snob
Now I was never really into lip pencils until recent months when they have become more talked about.  I love this shade and I wear it when I'm after a natural lip. I will sometimes wear this with a lipstick and just outline my lips. Other times I wear this all over (those days I tend to use a lip balm as well as). I'm now a converted fan of the lip pencils.

8. Barry M - Matte Coat
For me november was all about having a matte nails (whereas december is all about the glitter).  When I did bother painting my nails throughout november they would ever only be matte white or matte black so it was quite fitting that this was included in my favourites.

That's 8 products that I was loving throughout november let me know about yours in the comments or on twitter. I might even get round to buying them myself.

see you soon, han x

Christmas Gift Guide Series: Gifts for Her over £15

Today we have the third in our christmas guide series which is gifts for her over £15. This is a bit different to the others as we have decided to do 7 categories and offer different priced gifts that fit in the category. Anyway let's find out what we put...

1. Random Picks

This is definitely perfect if she loves a good photo! You can also get it in blue, yellow, black and white, if pink isn't her thing but they do slightly change in price. This is a such a fun gift which let's her keep memories.

This is a super cute and personal gift. This gorgeous keepsake box can be personalised to the giftee to include her name and date and you get to pick which colour either pink or ivory. ps it comes with free delivery!

2. Bags

This bag is very expensive and will only suit the person which can definitely afford this. However this is a beautiful bag. Its designer, its small, and it is so pretty! I am sure any girl would love this bag, not just because of the brand. However if this isn't in your price range don't worry we have more bags below.

Wow this bag is so cute! We have fallen in love with it! Its definitely one of emily's personal favourite. We have a slight weak spot for these Ted Baker bags! This gift would be lovely for any girl in your life... We are positive they would appreciate the art of prettiness ha-ha. ps it comes in two other colours.

Now if the above are way out of your price range don't worry this one doesn't burn a whole in your pocket as much. This is a lovely daytime bag and would make a lovely gift. We think you will establish the love we have for bags. (em's love is growing whilst writing this post) Em personally love this bag. Its cute, its contemporary and it will suit nearly every outfit!

And now something cheaper... which we can't believe is only £20 bargain. It is so cute. A nude bag is essential as they do suit everything and this one is very pretty... such a nice gift. PS can we just mention that retails at £72.20

3. A Party Dress

Em fell immediately in love with this dress when she saw it. It love the colour, I love the style its just over all beautiful! Also this dress is shaped to fatter your figure which is never a bad thing!
any girlfriend, daughter, mother I am sure would love this dress it makes a lovely, thoughtful gift.

We love this dress! Love the lace detailing, love the style, just love it! You can't go wrong with a nude dress as well. This would be suitable for a night out or a special occasion. Definitely a winner in our eyes!

Again another Missguided dress, they have some beautiful dresses in stock so definitely recommend checking them out. This one has gorgeous detail and is Hannah's fav! It's backless and black which girl says no to a little black dress!

4. Jewellery

What girl wouldn't love a piece of jewellery from Tiffany's! This is a gorgeous sterling silver necklace which comes in an amazing blue box. It's definitely something that would be treasured.

This ring is a lovely gift to give to her whether she's a girl friend/friend or family member although the name says eternity. It's a nice simple piece of jewellery that would suit anyone (you can also get it in pink and purple). We are sure she'd be happy opening a Pandora box on christmas day.

This again is a super cute personalised gift at a reasonable price. We have bought our friend one of these bracelets before and they are a perfect present. Also Lily Belle send their products all wrapped up cutely and in a nice little box.

5. Fragrance

Now you can never go wrong with a Marc Jacobs perfume in our opinion! This is the newest fragrance and It's lovely! If you know she's a fan of the original Daisy then why not get her the latest one. Plus it has one of the most prettiest bottle ever! In this set you also get a 75ml body lotion too.

This set is both a beauty and fragrance set in one yay! (han has this on her christmas list this year) Not only do you get a 30ml of Black Opium which has floral, coffee and vanilla scents. But you get a travel size mascara and eye pencil which are handy to have if you are a girl into makeup.

If she's a Juicy Couture fan then this is for her! It has berry notes as well as hints of honeysuckle as well as other scents. So if you know she likes them smells you could be onto a winner with this perfume (plus you get a cute 5ml bottle which she can pop in her bag). Also, the bottle is beautifully designed so would look glamorous in her room.

This fragrance set is perfect to give to her. It comes with 3 mini fragrances so she can change up what she uses or in the case she doesn't like one she still has option to pick from. These are also really great because they a perfect size if she travels a lot so easy to take with her. Hannah really recommends Reb'l Fleur as it's one of her favourite perfumes.

6. Makeup Set

This makeup set by NARs includes both 10 lipsticks and 10 nail varnishes however it's definitely affects the bank! If you have the money and you know she loves lipsticks and nail varnishes then you definitely can't go wrong with this.

This is definitely one of our favourite gift sets by Benefit in their christmas collection (which Hannah has bought her mum a few for christmas). It comes with a bit of everything: mascara, lip gloss, tints, blusher and eyeshadows!

This set also gives you a nice selection of makeup including: face powder, eyeliner, mascara, lip lacquer and 3 eyeshadows. Definitely recommend this set if she's just beginning with makeup and the more we look at this the more we want it! Plus it's in Boots 3 for 2 offer!

7. Body & Bath Sets

This is a perfect bath and body set for christmas if you are willing to spend £82.50 on a present for her. Definitely perfect if you know she loves Lush! This set comes with 20 lush products including: 7 bath bombs, 4 bath melts, 2 soaps, 1 bubbleroon, 1 fun and 5 bubble bars. It has a few of their christmas releases including the christmas hedgehog, christmas eve, snow angel just to name a couple.

If you don't want to spend more than £80 on some lush products for her, you could always buy her this set for just under £30. So again its perfect if she's a Lush lover! In this set is 6 lush products including: 4 bubble bars (drummers drumming, magic wand, the comforter and the christmas hedgehog) and 2 bath bombs (golden wonder and luxury lush pud). So it includes all christmas products = a very festive gift!

If either of the both are out of your budget then why not get her this £17 set from The Body Shop. This set comes with the following: the glazed apple shower gel (60ml), glazed apple body butter (50ml), glazed apple body lotion (60ml), glazed apple body polish (75ml) and a green mini bath lily (as they call it). If she loves apples then this is the one for her!

We hope you have liked this post and let us know in the comments or via twitter which gift you like best. If you missed yesterday's post then you can check it out here. We'll be back in a couple of days with the next gift guide which is gifts for him!

See you soon han and em x

Zoella's Fizz Bar Review

A few weeks ago me and Emily popped into our local Superdrug and I spotted this so I thought I would pick it up and give it a try. This is the first thing that I have tried from the Zoella beauty range. However I had  previously smelt the body mist as Emily had it and I really liked the scent. So I was super excited to try out another of her products. Here comes my thoughts...

  • The packaging: is beautiful! I really like the design of both the wrapper and the actual fizz bar it's self. It's super girly and pretty. Not much else to say on that topic, so top marks for the design!
  • The scent: I really like the fresh scent.  I love that it's not overbearing as scents that are like that especially lavender give me headaches but this one is definitely most enjoyable. In fact I can't stop sniffing it right now.
  • I liked the fact that I could smell this product on my skin when I came out the bath and that I felt softer. I don't know if this is the case for everybody but it certainly was for me.
  • Accessibility: I found this easy to get hold from my Superdrug but you can also pick it up online from superdrug or at feel unique for £5 which is reasonable pricing! link here

  • Sadly, I was left a bit disappointed with this product. I put the first square in and literally saw nothing happen so thought it was just a dodgy square. So I put a second in my bath and it fizzed for about 1 minute and that was it. Ultimately, I just wish it would fizz a bit and maybe add a few bubbles. HOWEVER I have heard that it's best to use this product with the bath soak so I may pick that up in the future
  • Now this con is me being picky! It's not the easiest product to break which isn't great for me as I have weak hands (lame excuse) but it did take me awhile to break it. Eventually I did try a knife to cut it.

Overall, I'm probably not likely to buy another one of these in the future but saying that I'm happy I tried it and still want try out her other products. Hopefully, she'll expand her range and bring out fizz bars that change the bath colours or different scents.  Let me know what you think you think of this product or any suggestions on what I should get next in the comments or via twitter.

See you soon, han x
ps: still sniffing the fizz bar becoming addicted to the scent.. mmm

Christmas Gift Guide Series: Stocking Fillers for Him

Hey everyone! As promised here is our second episode in the series of our Christmas gift guide: Stocking fillers for Him. We don't know about you but We find shopping for men so hard. They are so picky! So we have come up with 15 products to hopefully help targeting a range of personalities. We hope this helps you!

All men love to build things, its just in there blood! Any gadget or toy no matter what age. So men will find this amusing. I think this is great stocking filler, its cheap and will keep the him occupied which is never a bad thing!

Personally we love these! My (Em's) brother used to have one and they was so much fun! This is mainly for the younger audience. However the older men can be treated to this too. It will keep them active whilst having a bit of fun. And it is also very cheap.
This is a lovely gift for the fathers out there. and it is so sweet! it will sure melt there hearts to with this... and also, who doesn't love a mug?

All men love a good gadget. This is a nice little present for any male. It's a ballpoint pen that also comes with 5 other functions: a UV light, laser pointer, flashlight, stylus as well as being a pen. Also batteries are included bonus!

This present is a lot more controversial. It is a humorous gift to give him. And who knows they may find it useful! This should definitely make them laugh.

6. River Island: Black Beanie - £9.60

river island, soap and glory, mac, one direction, new look, benefit, lord & berry, Asos

Welcome to the first of our christmas guide series 2014. We have decided to share with you some gifts that we think would be great to get for friends or family throughout the series. To start of this series we are bringing you 15 gift ideas all under £15 for her.

This soap and glory set would be great for a female in your life, whether friend or family member (or girlfriend for any guys out there). The set comes with 4 Soap and Glory products including: the righteous body butter (50ml), the clean on me shower gel (75ml), hand food hand cream (50ml) and the scrub of your life body scrub (50ml). Along with this you get a body polisher all for £10.

This is a super cute simple daisy necklace that would be perfect for any girls that like a simplistic necklace. This necklace would be great to wear both day and night. If you are interested in this keeping checking New Look out as I have seen this on offer where you can buy one and get one free. However we are unsure whether this offer will return.

This is a gorgeous photo frame which would make such a personal christmas gift if you added a nice photograph to it before given. ASOS also does this in a range of sizes and colours. We personally love this style a long with the lilac version.

We adore these ourself and really want them! These would be such a super gift as you can never really go wrong with pyjamas. Also, it would be lovely to give someone on christmas eve so that they can wake up on christmas day all festive. New Look currently have these stocked in all sizes (8-18) on their website.

This would be good for any girl you know who loves a candle especially with a scent like pink lemonade (yum yum).

These are a bargain. They are currently selling them at £12.99 on Amazon along with free delivery (saving £17 plus delivery).  They are the same design style as real techniques and they are super soft. Hannah has bought these for one of her friends and now wants them for herself.

This is perfect for anyone who loves a bit of lip gloss or has a makeup addiction like us. Currently they are £10 on Look Fantastic saving 67% (whatever that is) a long with free delivery.  This set comes in 3 wearable shades Starlight, Enchantment and Icy Bronze.

This gift is a bit of a cheat as it's currently under £15 in Debenhams... however it just goes over by 50p so not too bad. Now this is definitely perfect for any of the lipstick lovers out there like us! They pretty much have all the MAC lipstick shades in stock including Velvet Teddy. Which has proven for us  hard to find. So if you are after a MAC lipstick  as gift check out Debenhams!

You can currently save £1 on this gift set (woop de woop) which is great for all the nail varnish lovers out there. This set includes 4 nail varnishes which are usually £5 each so save yourself at least a tenner! You get the shades trillion taupe, asscher blue, pear purple and radiant pink as well as a 4 way buffer and a toe separator.

This is a great girly phone case made for the iPhone 5. They also have another one on TK Maxx which has cute black bow. Definitely recommend checking these out if you are thinking of getting a phone case.

This scarf is great as a christmas present as it's perfect for winter. You can get this in varies colours, such as pink, white&black, green and red. But we especially love the grey and pink version.

This is perfect for any frozen fan especially if you like Olaf. This jumper is available in woman sizes 8-14 and costs £15 in total with delivery.

This is not only great for the one direction fan but good for you bank account. You can pick up a 30ml bottle for just £12.75 or £15.95 if you want to get 50ml and free delivery. We personally think it's a nice smelling perfume.

This makeup bag is gorgeous and would be a great gift for all those makeup lovers out there or all those people who have a worn out looking makeup bag. This is our personal favourite but they also have varies out £10 makeup bags on the site.

The last of the gifts in this series is this set from Benefit. Again this is another cheat gift as it's technically over £15 but has discount on it at the moment. In this set is a mini hola (bronzer) and dandelion (blusher). As well as their matching lip glosses. This again is great for all the makeup lovers or for someone who is just beginning with makeup.

MAC haul!

MAC Lipsticks by

Okay so recently I have managed to extend my MAC product collection by 8 lipsticks and 3 paint pots (woo) This was helpful due to fragrance direct now stocking MAC: here. Which I didn't even know they did! Until I was browsing for some lipsticks on their site and then spotted MAC. I think I refreshed the page many of times (I was in shock) and then once it settled in I literally messaged everybody to let them know.

Back to the point of this post... From fragrance direct I picked up four lipsticks in the shades: cyber (my favourite at the moment), chatterbox, vegas volt and ravishing. These all cost £13.99 I believe. As well as those I also bought my little sister kinda sexy which cost £14.99 I think due to being a matte shade.

So the paint pots I bought and the other 4 lipsticks all came from a MAC store in London. OMG this was such an issue for me. Basically, all MAC stores near me are department stores (key point).  I was lucky enough to win a £100 gift voucher through a WAMO competition (more info below) and I couldn't spend my voucher as it had to be a MAC store. Anyway I was beginning to think that I was never going to spend this voucher as I'm never near a MAC store but after a few weeks my cousin offered to spend my voucher for me YAY. I gave her a list which had the four lipsticks above on : please me, flamingo, sweet & sour and shy girl which are £15.50 each, arghhhh. A long with 3 pro longwear paint pots in: camel coat, painterly and bare study also £15.50. For any of you doing the maths she kindly put money towards the purchase in order to spend all of the voucher.

Overall, I'm really loving what I've got. I have had MAC lipsticks before so knew I would be thrilled with them and the paint pots I am just loving totally gone into my everyday look. So I would definitely recommend both these MAC products to anyone. Just a heads up if you are going to buy MAC products from Fragrance Direct just know they go out of stock so quickly!!!! I really wanted to get hold of mac velvet teddy but it went so fast and now I'm struggling with other shops too. I have been thinking about doing my MAC lipstick collection in a future post/series so as always guys let me know your thoughts on that and this post in the comments below or @emilyhan1394

see you soon han x

PS: Just before I briefly mention WAMO. I would just like to state that I don't work for the brand or have any link to it other than I use the app for my own purposes and would honestly recommend it to everyone. Basically this is an APP that you can download from you app store on your phone, that run competitions everyday e.g. ASOS, Topshop etc. All it takes is you as the user is to enter the competition and make a list which is explained via the app. Then the rest is luck whether you win or not.  It's completely free and gives you something to do with your time. Let me know whether you already have the app or do download it and your thoughts because I would really love to hear from you guys.

My Puppy!!!

Hey everyone, sorry its been awhile since anything was last posted, we have been strung up with uni work but now we are coming back!
Lhasa Apso and shih tau

Lhasa Apso and shih tau
I wanted to share my beautiful puppy with you all. He was kindly given to me for a birthday present from my boyfriend (so lucky!) He is a cross between a Lhasa Apso and Shih Tzu and his name is George.

I had been wanting a dog for a while before I was given George. Before I got him I knew that it was going to take a lot of commitment and responsibility to look after my own puppy. I am so happy to have him although it is hard work! All of that has been worth it though as I love him to pieces. To anyone out there who is hoping for a puppy for Christmas... prepare yourself for work. Getting a puppy means you also get the joys of nibbling, Biting, training it to use the toilet (clearing poo and wee up), constant need for your attention and that's just the half of it. Forget sleeping in!

However saying all that there are great parts which are amazing e.g. cuddles.  Here are a few reasons why I love my pup: he is so friendly & welcoming, he truly loves me back, became one of the family (now he has settled in well with the family, he is such a lovely dog, any new person, or dog for that matter he will greet by running up, tailing waggling ready for playtime. He is a bundle of joy... my baby.

Let me know below any questions you may have about getting a puppy and I will get back to you, or if there's enough I will do another blog post answering the questions for you.
See you soon x

St.Moriz fake tan

St. Moriz Fake Tan

I am a big big big fan of fake tan! I have used nearly every brand ranging from Rimmel to Fake Bake but I always go back to the St. Moriz medium shade. Mainly because of the price, which I get from home bargains (for those in the UK) for £2.99 which to me is such a good bargain for the quality and effect you get from this.

The effect & my application
First off the tan gives me a nice natural tan and not orangey at all (I've found). I normally just apply one coat for a natural looking tan but you can double up coats depending on your preferences i.e. night out. I have found that if you don't use it with a moisturiser then the tan can fade in an unpleasant way; for example patches in dry areas of the skin can occur. However I have also found this to be the case when using other brands e.g. the more expensive ones. This could be why people stay away from fake tan due to not liking the wearing affect or they think that buying the more expensive brands it's less likely to happen. So I recommend moisturising after showers as the fake tan fades gradually and naturally.

Overall I've found this fake tan to be a great product. It's suitable if you are not wanting to spend too much but are also looking for a good quality tan. But remember with any tanning process moisturising is the key to a natural looking tan and exfoliate before hand.

Let me know if you found this review useful or if you have any Fake Tan tips at @emilyhan1394 or in the comments. I would love to hear from you guys..

See you soon, Em x

one for playing games? bang bang you're dead!

Bang Bang you're dead & one for playing games

A few weeks ago I bought a few products from makeup revolution (see here) and two of them were these vivid baked blusher which cost £2.50 bargain! So since I've had them for awhile I thought it was about time that I let you guys know what I think of them.

Bang Bang You're Dead
Ok.. i'm going to say it I love the name.. along with the price. It is a baby pink colour along with streaks of darker pink as shown in the swatch above. The pigmentation is great for the product as it can be easily built up and I'm super happy with it. Let me also say I found it lightweight on my skin and no to heavy..bonus! Now if I'm honest I haven't been going out of my way to wear it.. so I'm not extremely in love with it but it is nice to have in my collection. It gives a nice blushed effect to my cheeks after a bit of blending.  I rate this product an 8.5/10 as for the price you can't go wrong!

One For Playing Games
Again I love the name (easily pleased with a product with good naming me). I bought this blusher as I hadn't really tried a lilac tone blusher before. From buying this I learnt not to put it on the apples of my cheeks more to use when I contour as it personally doesn't suit me that much (on my apples). However saying this I am happy that I have this product in my collection and will use it in the future though it will not be everyday. Like bang bang you're dead it gives off a good pigmentation and is light weight. I rate this 8/10!

Overall... I'm really happy that I bought these blushers to try out and would definitely buy others in the future maybe the normal powder ones or a palette. I would also really recommend trying out makeup revolution as for the price and product you simply can't go wrong!  Let me know your opinions or what I should get next time either @emilyhan1394 or in the comments. I would love to hear from you guys...
until next time, han x

clothing haul

Today I have for you a small clothing haul.. woo! Recently I've been browsing very few shops but stopped into both Dorothy Perkins and ASDA (George) and found a few items that I liked and I thought I would share it with you guys.

1. White Lace Embroidered Vest - Dorothy Perkins for £20 when I bought it but is now in the sale for £18.
2. Crochet Fringe Top - ASDA/George for £8. I bought this thinking it would be perfect for a festival that i'm going to in August but would also be good to wear over bikinis on holiday or bandeaus.
3. Hair Scrunchie - ASDA/George for £3. I bought this metallic pink scrunchie from an ASDA store sadly they don't stock them online, however they do have a range of them when I last visited.
4. White floral Cami Top - Dorothy Perkins for £18. This is sadly not online anymore but may be stocked in some stores... but here's a link to their cami tops online.
5. Floral Print Cami Top - ASDA/George for £6. ASDA had a range of cami tops that I've seen in store and I picked this one up instead of a simple lilac one for a quid more.

That's all for my small clothing haul. Let me know in the comments or @emilyhan1395 if you liked this post or links to your clothing hauls would love to read them.
Until next time, han x

MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation - Review

So back in December 2011 when I was browsing through the MAC in Heathrow airport I found the love of my life. Ok maybe not love of my life but my favourite foundation to date. MAC Studio Sculpt foundation. I was so eager to get my hands on a mac foundation as I had heard great things on them and since that time I haven't looked back.

I haven't got the best skin and therefore for that reason I like a foundation that is medium to full coverage in order to hide my imperfections aka redness and acne... and this product does just that!

The foundation: This foundation comes in at least 20 shades and can be bought from either MAC online or a airport/department store e.g. House of Fraser or Debenhams depending whether stocked there. It costs around £25 pounds and you can usually get matched by a makeup artist so there's no worries about getting the wrong shade or if buying online I recommend using foundation comparison sites such as findation

My thoughts:
  • I was matched to NW20 and this matches my skin perfectly and last's pretty much all day.
  • I find that it last's a good amount of time (6 months at least) making it worth every penny for me. tip - cut the top of the tube when running low or struggling to get the foundation to come out. You'll be surprised by how much is left if you are like me.
  • This foundation is a creamy texture and gives a great coverage as it's medium to full coverage and easy to blend. I love it as it covers all my insecurities as stated above and provides me with confidence.
  • The packaging for me is a great thing! I love the simple squeeze tube rather than a pump and glass bottle. This packaging also helps with getting the most out of it as you can simple cut the top and get what's left inside out. No wasting product.
Let me know about your favourite foundations in the comments below or @emilyhan1395 or about any MAC products you would recommend, we'd love to hear from you guys.
Until next time, han x
